Name and Surname: Joseph Toufic El-Jamous (monk Grigorios Sinaite).
Date and Place of Birth: Aug. 16^th, 1966. Amman, Jordan.
Nationality: Greek and Lebanese.
Education: BA in English literature with honours degree – Yarmouk University, Jordan. Web design course of 40 hours at Ottawa Cultural Centre, Jordan. Several foreign languages courses at institutes and cultural centres in Jordan, Greece and the Ukraine.
Art Education: Two weeks drawing and free sketch seminar with a Japanese teacher in Amman, Jordan in 1991. Intensive iconography and icon restoration seminars on Mt. Athos, Greece by monks and other lay experts. Since 2003 every year for two months an intensive mosaic seminar by mosaicist Magdalene Theocharis, Athens – Greece. Two months intensive drawing and painting regular lessons at Liceo Artistico De Nittis in Bari - Italy in 2007. Two intensive and advanced mosaic seminars and two beginners and advanced affresco seminars at the International School for the Study of Mosaics (S.I.S.A.M) Ravenna, Italy for the period between Aug. 25^th – Sept. 19^th, 2008. Restoration of floor mosaics seminar for a month (July 4^th – August 4^th 2009) at the Madaba Institute for Mosaic Art and Restoration, Madaba, Jordan.
Employment: Translator and secretary for a private Jordanian company. For the last fourteen years I have been living as a monk at St. Catherine’s Monastery on Mt. Sinai.

Esposizioni e partecipazioni
Exhibitions: Participated twice in a group exhibition of works of visual arts held by Parnassos Philological Society in Athens in 2006 with three mosaic works and 2008 with three paintings and for a third time for the year 2009 with two mosaic works. Participated in the group exhibition held by the Egyptian Cultural Centre of the Egyptian Embassy in Athens together with the Cultural Association “The Skoubi” of Andros Island in Greece with the theme “Art Unites Egypt with Greece” 12^th -19^th February 2009. Participated in the following group exhibitions in Italy: in the international art exhibition 3^rd – 29^th April organized by Taormina gallery in Messina with the theme “Eros and Thanatos” with, group exhibition of 18 artists entitled “the Masters of Fantasy” May 2^nd – 21^st, 2009 organized by Tuttarte Gallery, Cappacio Scalo of Salerno, group exhibition Premio Internazionale D’Arte Perla Dell’Adriatico Grottammare III Edition 9^th – 23^rd May, 2009 organized by La Tavolozza Centre of Art and Culture and the Municipality of Grottammare of Ascoli Piceno, Italy with a mini personal of three paintings. Participated in the Athens Fringe Festival 2009 with the theme “Athens Belongs to Us!” 15^th – 21^st June held by Cultural Association ‘Synthesis’ in Athens, Greece. Paticipated in the 1^st International Compitition of Modern Art “Natale di Praeneste” held by Cultural Association of Athena Arte (Genzano of Rome) 30^th May – 7^th June, 2009 in Palestrina, Italy. Participated in the Competition-Exhibition of Art “Past, Present, Future” 21^st June – 20^th July, 2009 curated by Milanese art curator and critic Sabrina Falzone in Desenzano Del Garda (BS), Italy. Participated in the art competition-exhibition Premio Citta di Porto Sant’ Elpidio, X edition 13^th – 27^th June, 2009 organized by La Tavolozza Centre of Art and Culture and the Municipality of Porto Sant’Elpidio of Ascoli Piceno, Italy. Participated in the art competition-exhibition Premio Montecalvo Arte “Arte in Festa” 3^rd – 10^th July, 2009 patronized by the Municipality of Foglia (PU), Italy. Participated in the Second International Exhibition of Contemporary Art “City of Nemi” 4^th – 12^th July, 2009 organized by Associazione Arte Mediterranea and Atelier Ivana Barsciglie, Nemi, Italy. Participating in the first edition of “1° Biennale d’Arte - Premio Centauressa d’Oro” 26^th July – 14^th August, 2009 organized by Associazione Culturale Dionysos and patronized by the municipality of Taormina and the Cultural Assesorate of Messina’s Province of Sicily, Italy. Participated in the Painting Competition the third edition 25^th – 31 July organized by Associazione Culturale Mnemosine and patronized by the municipality of Servigliano of Ascoli Piceno, Italy. الدّراسات الفنيّة: عام 1991م دورة رسم لمدة أسبوعين لمدرّس يابانيّ - عمّان، الأردن. عامي 1999م

و 2000م دورات مكثفة في رسم و ترميم الأيقونات لمدرّسين رهبان و مساعديهم من خبراء علمانييّن في أديرة جبل آثوس في اليونان. منذ عام 2003م و إلى عامنا الحاليّ دورات مكثفة لمدّة شهرين سنويّاً في عمل الفسيفساء للمدرّسة مجدليني ثيوخاري - أثينا، اليونان. عام 2007م دروس رسم مكثّفة لمدّة شهرين في ثانويّة دي نيتيس للفنون الجميلة - باري، إيطاليا. عام 2008م دورة مكثفة و أخرى متقدّمة في عمل الفسيفساء و دورتان مكثفتان في رسم الفرسكو في المدرسة الدّوليّة لفن الفسيفساء في الفترة ما بين 25 أغسطس و 19 سبتمبر - رافنّا، إيطاليا. دورة ترميم أرضيّات فسيفسائيّة لمدّة شهر من 4 يوليو إلى 4 أغسطس2009م في معهد مادبا لترميم و فن الفسيفساء، مادبا، الأردن.

الخبرة الوظيفيّة: مترجم و سكرتير سابقاً لدى شركة خاصّة في عمّان، الأردن. منذ عام 1995م و إلى الآن أزاول حياة الرّهبنة في دير القدّيسة كاترينا بجنوب سيناء.
